Your annual trip to the eye doctor is about much more than just renewing your glasses or contact lens prescription. During a comprehensive eye exam, Dr. Marshall and Dr. Wahl evaluate our patients’ overall eye health so that we can catch eye diseases and other illnesses in the early stages. Using the most advanced, up-to-date technologies allows us to give the best possible assessment with accurate, repeatable, and efficient diagnoses.
Optos Daytona Ultra-widefield Retinal Imaging
The newest version of the popular Optos, non-dilated retinal exam. Optos’ patented ultra-widefield digital scanning laser technology acquires images that support the detection, diagnosis, analysis, documentation and management of ocular pathology and systemic disease that may first present in the periphery. These conditions may otherwise go undetected using traditional examination techniques and equipment.
Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging test. OCT uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina. With OCT, we can see each of the retina’s distinctive layers. This allows us to map and measure their thickness. These measurements help with diagnosis. They also provide treatment guidance for glaucoma and diseases of the retina. These retinal diseases include age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic eye disease.
Nidek RT-5100
The newest technology in obtaining the most accurate, repeatable and efficient prescriptions while providing a new enjoyable process for the patient. The RT-5100 benefits from Nidek’s latest generation of electronic refraction technology. Replacing the standard refractor, it allows practitioners to control the entire refraction process from a small digital keypad.
Icare ic100 Tonometer
No more puff of air! This device uses patented rebound technology to precisely measure intraocular pressure. Its light-weight probe makes momentary contact with the cornea. Icare’s proprietary algorithm coupled with state-of-the-art software allows the device to evaluate deceleration, contact time and other motion parameters of the probe when it touches the cornea.
Nidek OPD Scan III
The new OPD-Scan III is an extremely powerful and useful tool for managing all refractive conditions and providing accurate contact lens fitting. The unique OPD-Scan III is an advanced vision assessment system that combines topography, wavefront, automated refractor, keratometry, and pupillometry in a single package. It is the latest device of its kind.
Zeiss Humphrey HFA II-745i
The “Gold Standard” in visual field evaluations. The Humphrey® Field Analyzer (HFA™) is the accepted standard of care in glaucoma diagnosis and management and is the device that all major clinical trials utilized and referenced.
